We choose with heart
Every piece we bring into the collection carries the hand, the emotion, and the years of skill of the person who made it. We look for that first, before anything else.
Our story
Bharat Artifacts started with a straightforward observation: so many Indian artisans spend years mastering a craft with little recognition for the hands behind it. We built this business to change that, in whatever way we could. It shapes everything here, from the pieces we choose to how we work with the people who make them.
Our mission
Behind every piece at Bharat Artifacts is a master artisan carrying forward a craft passed down through generations, largely without the recognition or the market it deserves. We exist to change that.
When you bring a piece from Bharat Artifacts into your home, you are supporting the person who made it directly, giving them the livelihood and recognition their work has earned.
What this looks like, in practice
Every piece we bring into the collection carries the hand, the emotion, and the years of skill of the person who made it. We look for that first, before anything else.
Whatever an artisan asks for their work is what they receive. No bargaining, no cutting corners, no making them feel small for the price of their own craft.
Part of our profits goes back to supporting these artisans directly, long after an order has shipped. We want to watch them grow, not just sell their work once.
Founder Paramita Banerjee built Bharat Artifacts out of a deep love for India's culture, traditions, artists, and artisans, and a quiet determination that they should never go unseen again.
