Welcome to Bharat Artifacts. These Terms and Conditions govern your access to our website, your purchases from us, and your use of our customer account, wishlist, review, return, exchange, and support features.
1. About Bharat Artifacts
Bharat Artifacts curates Indian art, sculpture, handcrafted decor, books, and artisan-made objects for homes and collectors. Many pieces are handmade, limited in availability, or offered as the exact piece shown in the listing. Natural variations in colour, texture, grain, finish, scale, and handwork are part of the product's character unless we specifically describe them as defects.
2. Eligibility and Account Use
You may browse without an account. Certain features, including wishlist sync, reviews, store credit, return requests, and order history, require sign-in. You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for ensuring that the information you provide is accurate, current, and lawful.
3. Product Information and Availability
We work to keep images, prices, dimensions, materials, stock, and descriptions accurate. Slight differences may occur because screens display colour differently and handmade items are not factory-identical. A product is available only while stock remains. If a product sells out before checkout is completed, we may remove it from your cart or ask you to review updated availability before placing an order.
4. Pricing, Taxes, and Payment
Prices are shown in Indian Rupees unless the interface states otherwise. Prices include applicable taxes unless specifically mentioned. Shipping, gift wrap, duties, or other charges may be added at checkout. Orders are confirmed only after checkout is successfully submitted and, where applicable, payment is authorised.
5. Shipping and Delivery
Delivery timelines are estimates and may vary because of courier capacity, address accuracy, weather, public holidays, customs, or events outside our control. Risk of loss or damage transfers according to applicable law, but we will assist you with insured-shipment claims when valid evidence is provided on time.
6. Returns, Exchanges, and Mandatory Unboxing Video
For every return, exchange, damage claim, replacement, or refund request, a clear product unboxing video is mandatory. The video must show the sealed package before opening, the opening process, the packaging condition, and the product condition without cuts or edits. We also require four clear product photos where requested by the return form.
If a valid unboxing video is not provided, or if evidence is incomplete, unclear, edited, unrelated, or submitted late, the request will be rejected. This requirement protects customers, artisans, and the business from false or unverifiable claims.
7. Customer Uploaded Content
When you upload photos, videos, reviews, or support evidence, you confirm that you own or have permission to provide that content. Return and exchange evidence uploaded by customers is retained only for operational review and is removed from active database records after 48 hours, unless a longer retention period is legally required for fraud prevention, dispute resolution, accounting, or compliance.
8. Reviews and Community Standards
Reviews are submitted for moderation before publication. We may reject, edit for formatting, or remove reviews that include abusive language, private information, spam, misleading claims, unrelated content, or unlawful material. Only approved reviews are visible on product pages.
9. Intellectual Property
The website, branding, text, layout, product photography, graphics, and other materials belong to Bharat Artifacts or our licensors. You may not copy, scrape, reproduce, sell, or commercially use our content without written permission.
10. Prohibited Use
You must not misuse the website, interfere with security, attempt unauthorised access, submit false orders, abuse returns, upload harmful files, scrape data at scale, or use the service for unlawful purposes.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bharat Artifacts will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. Our aggregate liability for a product order will not exceed the amount paid for that order, except where the law does not allow such limitation.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new review date. Continued use of the website after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
